Monthly Kabbalah Study – meet monthly with Rabbi Arthur at this home where he teaches about our mystical tradition and brings in exciting guest rabbis. Learn how to live a more meaningful and mindful life. No prior knowledge or Hebrew skills are needed. All you need is an open and curious mind.
Monthly Shabbat Experiences – we often meet at a home or use the Jewish CommunityCenterBuilding to bring our community together. Families, singles and seniors all come together for a short Friday night service, good food and discussion. It’s a time to relax and be with a caring group of people.
Monthly Adult Shabbat Experiences – for those who wish a more enriched Shabbat experience with a full service, discussion, meditation, teaching, this experience is for you. It is a pot-luck dinner with volunteers providing Challah, wine, juice, drinks and dessert. And while the food is good, the learning, singing and praying is wonderful. There is no prior knowledge needed. We just want you to be with us.
Holiday Celebrations – We love to celebrate! From our Sukkah celebration at Casa de Maria where the entire interfaith community is invited, to our truly fun and inspiring Chanukah dinner at the Montecito Country Club, and from the Tu B’ Shevat Seder where various foods are used to teach about various personalities and reveal Kabalistic teachings, to Purim and the not-to-miss Passover Seder are events for the whole family. Everyone is welcome to come and celebrate the holidays!
Woman’s Group – The woman’s group meets monthly to discuss a variety of topics by bringing in a variety of teachers from the Santa Barbara Community. Everyone is welcome to become a part of this unique and open group of vibrant women.
Social Action Committee – from food drives to active mitzvah projects, the Community Shul is dedicated to help repair this world through acts of kindness. Often it is through the actions of our members that we help the homeless, various community organizations that serve the under privileged, local medical institutions, and a variety of civic organizations.
